context
BlackBerry Ltd. is a Canadian multinational company focused on enhancing security and productivity for customers through business enterprise software and their business in the internet of things. As a part of the Mobility Solutions UX team, I worked on the BlackBerry Hub+ mobile apps suite and BlackBerry Secure Android experience.
role
In the mobility solutions team I worked closely with other designers as well as with cross disciplined teams consisting of project managers and developers. I primarily worked on mobile application interfaces but also gained huge amounts of experience conducting user testing, learning how to work within established design languages and learning motion designs.
- I collaborated with project managers and developers to solve complex interface and product experience problems.
- Visualized and communicated concepts with wireframes, interactive prototypes, and technical red line specs created with Adobe Suite software.
- Conducted usability testing and A/B testing for mobile interface designs design software like Sketch as well as tools like paper prototypes.
- Created icon assets using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Did motion graphics and animation work with After Effects to visualize more detailed interactions and motion design work.
- Managed multiple projects at a time while staying adaptable in an agile work environment.
